Porcelain Crowns & Bridges
There's no need to stress over chipped, damaged, cracked, or missing teeth. Teeth imperfections can be remedied effectively with crowns and bridges.
A porcelain crown, also known as a 'cap,' is bonded on top of a tooth that is damaged in some way, or weakened by an old filling. A crown restores tooth function, it's very durable and it's made to emulate the tooth's natural color.
Crowns are often placed in conjunction with dental bridges. When a patient is missing several teeth in a row, a bridge that looks just like real teeth can be used to span the open space. Bridges are affixed to adjacent teeth with a special cement for strength and symmetry.
Full & Partial Dentures
A dental prosthesis is an artificial tooth, or denture. Dentures are used to replace several, or all missing teeth - and they're either fixed or removable.
It's comforting to know that when teeth are lost due to decay, or even an accident, we can prescribe either full, partial, fixed, or removable dentures. We can also implement dental implants to prevent dentures from slipping.
Dentures are an effective dental treatment alternative, especially when extensive dental treatment may not be affordable for the patient. Dentures are a sensible choice for many patients and they can readily improve the appearance of your smile and restore self-esteem.
Gum & Root Canal Treatment
The health of your gums is vitally important to support your teeth. Treating gum disease (periodontitis) early can help prevent tooth loss.
Our dental practice performs several non-surgical, periodontal procedures like scaling and root planing to keep your gums healthy. We also work with Periodontists (gum disease specialists) if your gums require surgery.
The goals of treatment are to prevent tooth extraction and maintain healthy tooth function. Root planing and scaling removes tartar, plaque, and bacteria, while root canal treatments clean and reshape the tooth's inner pulp before filling the root canals with a dental material.
